VICTORIAN DIRT TRACK TITLES - ALBURY/WODONGA
Junior Wagga Dirt Tracker, Nick Grentell, competed at the Victorian Championships over the weekend of 5/6 September to take a 9th overall in the highly competitive 250cc 4 stroke class. Despite a big step off in one race with some spectactular aerobatic maneouvres for him and the bike witnessed by all who attended, Nick was thankfully uninjured. Nick thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will line up for the Australian Junior DT Titles coming up on the 14th November. Senior Wagga rider Daniel Cramp also competed at "The Causeway" finishing the weekend with some impressive results. Dan just missed a podium and finished 4th in the Senior over 450 4STR/5002STR, along with a 7th overall in the Senior Unlimited class. Unfortunately in the Senior 450cc class, some good results in Races 2 and 3 for Dan did not give enough points to make the Final after a crash in Race 1.Dean Lamotte was kept busy at the event ridingtwo Junior classes taking 7th and 8th respectively overall in the 125cc 2 stroke and 250cc 4 stroke classes overall.
Well done guys!

RYAN PRICE ON FIRE
Young Wagga C Grade Lites rider Ryan Price was out representing the Wagga Club down in Victoria. Ryan had a blinder of an event at the Goulburn Valley Open Motocross on 6th September down near Shepparton taking a clear win in all races. The Goulburn Valley club has been without a motocross track since the closing of the well-renowned "Waaia" Motocross Facility a couple of years ago. Ryan reports that this new Motocross Track at Mooroopna is "just awesome with huge jumps and the layout with a 40 start grid just magic". Two water trucks ensured no dust during the event with 300 riders over the two days of racing and a credit to the Club for a well-organised first meeting at the new facility. In the first race Ryan just tried to sort out who his competition was, and was 5th to the first corner, then claimed a win by at least 100 metres. In the second moto he claimed another victory win, and his last moto taking the holeshot and winning this final moto by a substantial gap. Although only classified as C Grade in NSW, Ryan intends entering B Grade when next riding a Victorian Open to ensure that he seeks the competition he needs to continue to improve especially with this racing experience - well done Ryan! Congratulations to Errol Willis on his overall achievements for the 2009 NSW and Victorian Junior Motocross Championships which have been now been finalised. Despite some bike issues over these rounds, Errol still managed to pull some impressive results. Dirt Bike Promotions' Motocross/StadiumX Series has Errol currently leading the 15 yrs lites class and also a hot favourite to take out this class at the final round at Maitland in late October. Ben Williams had a top ride as well taking a podium in the Under 19's class and running 3rd overall leading up to the final round at Maitland - good on ya Ben! The Skein's were also out and about travelling again to compete in this Series last weekend and managing some good results as well.
In early August, the young guns Harry & Billy Skein rode at an Oakdale Club Day (the day after the Leeton Amcross) and what a top ride to podium at the event. Recently Ezz took out the 15 yrs Lites at the Oakdale Open MX "Kings of the Valley". The Skein family also competed with Harry and Billy gaining some top experience against some of the Oakdale locals. Well done guys!
Congratulations to Kyle Membrey who competed recently at the Albury/Wodonga MX 2 Day Open taking out the C Grade Lites and also taking a 2nd in the C Grade Feature races. Joel Passlow also competed at taking the A Grade Open and the A Grade 12 Lap Feature. Pictured is Kyle #296 on the track and Joel's new Mechanic "Chayse Membrey" in action.
